I am making this submission to let you know that the "Draft Perth and Peel Green Growth Plan for 3.5 million" is not acceptable in its current form and should be rejected.

The plan would result in a 50% decline in the Carnaby’s Cockatoo – an endangered species and a totem for Noongar people. They exist nowhere else in the world and we must not allow their populations to decline even further.

Perth is in one of the worlds few internationally recognised biodiversity hotspots, yet the Green Growth Plan would allow our wildlife to be decimated.

There must be a much greater effort made to protect our remaining banksia woodland and other habitat for endangered wildlife.

Perth residents want a sustainable city with green apartments and public transport, not more urban sprawl that will wipe out our wildlife. No more broad scale clearing of native habitat should be allowed on the Swan Coastal Plain.

The Green Growth Plan gives certainty that developers will make profits, but no certainty that our endangered cockatoos will be saved from extinction.

Please reject this unacceptable Green Growth Plan.
