Having your say is one of the most powerful ways to show decision-makers that Western Australians want strong laws that actually protect nature.

Even though the Bills have now been passed, we encourage you to make a submission as soon as you can to ensure your views and perspectives are on the public record.

The inquiry Committee will still make recommendations to Parliament and this will be really useful for advocating for nature in the future.

Submissions close Friday 5 December.

Go on the public record and make a submission

The email below is a template to help you write a submission to a public inquiry and advocate for stronger protections for nature.

For more information and key points to consider in your submission, visit the Key Points and Resources section on the Conservation Council of WA website.

If you would like tips or feedback before submitting, you can contact the Conservation Council of WA on 6558 5155.

After you lodge your submission, the Senate committee will review it and decide whether to accept and publish it. This process can take several weeks, and you will be notified of the outcome.
